MELT Method workshops are a great way to address chronic pain. MELT teaches you a system that reduces your body’s connective tissue stress, restores whole-body efficiency, and helps you lead a healthier, more active life.

Introduction to Hand & Foot and Foam Roller Techniques Workshop
Get introduced to the MELT system, learning techniques using the Hand & Foot Kit and Foam Roller. Everyone is welcome!

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS – CLASSES BY DONATION!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we will be hosting (pre-booked) drop-in classes by donation during the week of October 16-21. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a current member of our studio, or have never tried Pilates, Yoga or Fitness classes before! BACK TO ROUTINE – Core, Fascia & More
This workshop builds on our popular core workshop and aims to increase full body awareness. This class is especially great for those who may have stepped away from their Pilates or fitness regimes over the busy summer months.

Everyone will benefit from this class, no matter how long you’ve been doing Pilates. People new to Pilates will get an introduction to the core musculature and breathing techniques, newer clients will get reinforcement of the principles of breathing and core, and more advanced clients will find a deeper connection with their Pilates work.

This class will enhance your workouts and help you transfer your Pilates into the rest of your life! Everyone is welcome!

POST-NATAL PILATES 6 WEEK SESSION
Tuesdays 11am-12pm

Regain strength in your pelvic floor & core and improve your overall health and well being. This mat based class is suitable for all levels. Whether you already have an established Pilates practice, or have never tried it before, this class is for you. You will also receive a post-natal Pilates book to take home with you to continue your practice. Babies are welcome! (Our instructors are very patient and understanding if you need to feed or tend to your baby). Contact our office for more information or to register.

WALKING & GAIT CLASSES

This series will let you work in depth on your walking and gait, learning about the gait cycle and why the way you walk matters. Think of all the steps you take in a day, a year, during your whole life… Now imagine if you had taken all those steps knowing how to walk well! How different would your health and quality of life be now? Register for our Walking & Gait Class to make every step count! Everyone is welcome! *Please note that the Hip & Knee Workshop is a prerequisite to this series (or on approval of instructor).

PORTABLE PILATES - Home & Travel Workshop
The Home and Travel Workshop will allow you to have a complete body workout at home or on the road when you can’t get to your regular classes. Now you will have no excuse to throw off your Pilates routine if you are on a business trip or vacation!

*Included in the cost of the workshop is our ‘Portable Pilates’ booklet which will give you details for a complete body workout along with stretches.

ALL ABOUT YOUR HIPS & KNEES
The hip and knee are essential to move through the world. Pain is common in both the knee and hip, which infringes on ease of movement and enjoyment of life. Often problems in our backs can be due to weakness in the hips and legs. Understanding how to regain control and utilize strength in these important structures will improve all areas of your movement. This Workshop is a prerequisite for our Walking & Gait Classes.

This workshop will cover:
• A brief overview of special features of the knee and hip that may be contributing to your issues and discomfort
• Functional and postural awareness of hip and knee
• Exercises for home to reduce weakness or injury to the knee and hip

GARDENING WORKSHOP
Use Pilates to keep you healthy and injury-free this spring!
Even though many of you have already started gardening this year, this is still a great workshop to help you understand why you’re getting those aches and pains! From sore shoulders and necks to low back pain, we can help you understand how to use Pilates to protect you as you garden this spring and summer!

BACK TO BASICS - Posture, posture, posture
Increase your awareness of what is happening in your back and posture and learn how you can use your Pilates investment daily to transition to pain-free living!

This workshop will cover:
• A brief anatomy of the spine
• Posture of the spine in seated, standing, and lying positions
• Functional awareness of the spine in daily activities
• A movement regime that you can use at home to stay pain-free

HANGING OUT WITH THE SHOULDER - Shoulder 911
Isn’t it amazing all things we can do with our hands and arms? We wouldn’t be where we are today without the amazing range of motion found in the upper limb. Spend some time increasing your awareness of how the shoulder enables you to enjoy your daily activities and how it can be hindered.

This workshop will cover:
• Journey through the shoulder joint
• Basic shoulder mechanics
• A discussion of how and why various injuries occur
• Important exercises to do at home
